Live TV depends on a channel source the Portico Server can reach and guide information that can be mapped to those channels. Confirm that you are authorized to use the source in your location.

Recordings need persistent storage with enough free space for the expected quality and duration. The Portico service account needs write access to that location.

Check server capacity before planning several simultaneous recordings or transcodes. Live playback and recording can compete for tuners, network bandwidth, disk throughput, and transcoding resources.

Decide which accounts can use Live TV, schedule recordings, and delete recordings before adding the source.
