Start playing
Open a movie, episode, track, audiobook, recording or live channel, and choose its main play action. Portico asks the server for a playback decision that suits your device and the settings you’ve selected.
Resume on another device
Your progress is stored under the active profile on that server. Stop on one device, then use the same server and profile in another connected Portico app to resume the item.
Progress is saved as playback is confirmed by the player. Stop or close playback while connected so the server can receive the latest position. Pausing watch history also pauses progress updates.
Playback counts as started when its position reaches the profile’s Counts as started percentage, which defaults to 5% of the duration. When the duration is unknown, playback counts as started at 30 seconds. Audiobook parts count as started at one second. Change the percentage under Settings → Account → Playback → Advanced.
An item counts as finished when playback reaches the end or meets the profile’s watched threshold or the library’s completion rules. The started and completion rules keep accidental starts and finished items out of Continue Watching.

The controls you see depend on the media and the device. They can include:
